I used Nextdns for many years, works completely great. But in recent months , the dns server in Asia Hong Kong region became very unstable. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have a hardware firewall Protectli vault running pfSense which is enforcing an always-on ProtonVPN connection and NextDNS to filter websites. My youngest child is not the admin of his machine and appears to be protected. My older kids are admins of their machines and have just installed free VPNs which seem to magically undo all my hard work. Enabling "block bypass methods" doesn't work. I'm able to just turn on a local VPN on my machine and access all blocked websites.

My philosophy is that it's my network including ISP service that I pay for, and it's their machine. So they can do what they want outside my network, but on my network there are some things I want to make sure are blocked. So philosophically, I'm willing to do whatever I need to on the network to block certain sites without touching their machines. Thirty minutes of searching seems to suggest I'm powerless. Is it really true that with my setup there's nothing I can do to block specific websites for VPN users on my own network? Can this be right? What options do I have?

for example iv tried pornhub and youporn and it doesnt block, if i block it directly on my router it works fine

I’m loving NextDNS, thanks for the amazing service! I had a quick feature request, it would be awesome if the iOS app supported a simple shortcut action to enable/disable the DNS.

My motivation is that I have to occasionally turn off the DNS, like if I have an email link I need to click and the tracker URL is blocked. The problem is I sometimes then forget to turn NextDNS back on.

If there was a simple shortcut action to enable the DNS, I would set it up to run every now and then or when I leave my house, to ensure it’s always back on.

As the title says. For the a.i the web page opens but not completely, can't type "enter" in the chatbox even tho it appears there. For free wi-fi it opens a page to choose my login method, then it says there is no internet to open that page (which didnt happen before nextDNS).

I'm new to using NextDNS and have previously used Quad9 with AdGuard Home. However, NextDNS is causing issues with my IPTV service. I'm not sure which setting is causing this problem. I temporarily fixed it by changing the DNS settings on my streaming device to Cloudflare, but that defeats the purpose of using NextDNS. I would really appreciate any help with this issue.

Edit: I took u/LuisNara advice and have disabled the EDNS and Cache, So far it seems to be working. I will keep an eye on the logs to see if something gets blocked and report back.

Anyone else having issues with requests sent to 45.90.28.23? No issues with DoH it DoT, or 45.90.30.23. Can't ping or send requests. Have a device that had only that IP as a dns resolver and had me scratching me head there for a bit

NextDNS dashboard says "No Google" hasn't been updated in 3 years, but it was updated a few days ago on Github. Is there a way to force an update or fix this sync issue?

I've been using NextDNS on my Mac, iPhone and iPad for quite some time now and I am super happy with it, however, I keep wondering what the benefit is of installing the NextDNS profile on my AppleTV? Like, can someone explain some actual use-cases where this makes sense? Does it block YouTube ads? There are no ads in tvOS itself so what's the gain?

I'm a user of NextDNS on my phone and I recently have one major issue using it. When I want to use NextDNS (which is all the time) I switch it on in my DNS settings, and when I leave the settings app, not even 5 min after I enable it, it goes back to auto DNS and it puts me ads in website (that is so annoying sometimes I just wanna throw my phone at the wall). And that's been like that for more than two weeks. I use a Redmi Note 11s on the latest update, on EU rom (idk if it is needed but I put it anyway)

Since few day Siri isn't working anymore on my Apple devices with NextDNS. I checked my logs to see which filters might cause the problem but I don't find anything. 

No issue when using another DNS.

Anyone experiencing the same issue?

I am using NextDNS for some of my mobile devices, home router and several profiles. I am using tailscale on my laptops, home pc's, and couple other things. They are randomly saying that DNS can not be reached. Like its unable to query or contact the DNS servers.

I'm new to tech. Recently I was monitoring the requests from my Android phone on NextDNS logs and found these connections. Should I be concerned?

I can't seem to block it and I don't know how to monitor it.

I have a Jio STB that runs on JioFiber and wanted to know if there is a way to make the entire wifi run on NextDNS only. I am not aware as to how I can access the settings of Jio to make it use my NextDNS profile only. Any help will be appreciated greatly. Thankyou.

So basically the hagezi ultimate blocklist brakes one of my apps (genie ai) how would i go about finding its domains to add it to allow list to continue using it with hagezi??
